Edge of fate’s tier system is the worst thing ever seen.
This game is gonna become an absolute snoozefest since that you are gonna use only some weapons and only these, no exotics except the new ones.
This is absolutely criminal, i rather have the years of content be revised with good perks (rite of the nine is absolute trash unfortunately).
But no, ofc they wouldn’t ! The directors will rather oogle at the [b]”aesthetics and visuals”[/b] while they also remove the DR we had and all so they can force us to use only the new weapons and armor…
In the end, nothing we did in Destiny 2 mattered except in wasting our time investment and money as well.
I worked my feathers off to get Vex Mythoclast, Conditional Finality, Ice breaker, ghallarhorn and many other Raid and dungeon exotics. They don’t deserve to be destroyed and forgotten in the pretext of “advancing towards the future of Destiny 2”, which in my eyes is gonna be the guardian using only Pipe guns and sticks to kill enemies.
Sqwawk Visuals, bring a far better gameplay instead of bringing this and allow us to get the enhanced barrels and traits out of enhancements.

17 RepliesIf exotics end up becoming obsolete because they can no longer compete with the newer tier 5 legendary weapons then I think even more players will quit ... it's not just the effort in getting the weapon in the first place, but also the effort in getting and completing the catalysts, some of which are a real pain.

It will destroy the game because veterans don’t want to do this all over again because we’ve spent numerous hours grinding, and newbies have difficulty figuring out the current system let alone a brand new one. Quit nerfing weapons and subclasses. Just make fun, new, and enjoyable content. It’s really that simple.

I don’t mind the armor changes at all since they have been pointless for ages but I don’t want my current weapons to do less damage just because of a soft sunset. So far I’m hearing that they should be all right but once they become fully sunset I’ll be hitting the door again.

This is just wild speculation to the point that you should probably see a therapist… There is a legit 0% chance that your exotics (especially raid and dungeon exotics) are going to be nuked in Edge of Fate. The tier system is barely any different than crafted or enhanced legendaries. As for the “New Weapon” damage bonus, while I don’t like it, 15% is nothing compared to what exotic primaries get at base…

Vex mythoclast and Ice breaker are not going to be "destroyed" We are getting the 30% DR a base feature with everyone being at 100 resilience come edge of fate, so no they aren't taking that away either.
