Full disclosure.
In Destiny 1, players had unlimited revives aside from "enrage" mechanic on base difficulty. Hard modes had none.
Much more accessible as it facilitated learning the experience.

Well, bungie could add back the 30 sec revive timer from D1 instead of using revive tokens. However, people don't seem to remember how lethal 30 secs of downtime was. The only class that could circumvent this was Fire Born Warlocks aka self res. I personally think revive tokens are more noob friendly. That's just me though. Oh, remember perma death on hard mod, you want perma death instead? Death during raids should always heavily punish the player/team for bad gameplay and poor gear choice/loadout choice. Also, a lot of people in this community seem to forget that it's ok to fail. You don't get better unless you fail first. Failure is the path to success. The biggest issue with most D2 players is they don't learn from their mistakes, they just making the same ones over and over again. However, if you actually learn and are persistent, good things come to those who wait. Patience is a virtue. Most people have forgotten that though.
