With the upcoming stat conversion changes, I’m concerned that applying a uniform system across all three classes—Hunter, Titan, and Warlock—will break class balance, ruin countless builds, and erase years of player investment in armor curation.
⚠️ Problem with the Current Conversion Plan:
The current plan appears to convert stats as follows:
Mobility → Weapons
Resilience → Health
Recovery → Class Ability
While this might work for Warlocks, it absolutely does not work for Hunters and Titans. Each class has different cooldowns tied to different stats, and treating them identically is a mistake.
🛠 Suggested Class-Specific Conversions:
🟢 Hunters
Mobility → Class Ability (Dodge cooldown is tied to Mobility)
Resilience → Weapons
Recovery → Health (since they both affect shield recharge rate)
🔵 Titans
Mobility → Weapons
Resilience → Class Ability (Barricade cooldown is tied to Resilience)
Recovery → Health (same reasoning as above)
🟣 Warlocks
Mobility → Weapons
Resilience → Health (since recovery is becoming class)
Recovery → Class Ability (Rift cooldown is tied to Recovery)
This structure preserves the identity and gameplay loop of each class, and ensures that buildcraft remains viable post-conversion.
💥 Why It Matters:
Only Warlocks retain synergy under the current system.
Existing armor builds become obsolete or nonsensical without class-specific handling.
✅ Solution:
Please implement class-specific stat conversions instead of a one-size-fits-all model. It’s a small step in implementation but a huge one in preserving balance, diversity, and player trust.
Thank you for your consideration.
Hunters will lose ability uptime if Mobility no longer affects Dodge cooldown. Recovery becomes useless on classes that don't tie class ability to it. Titan builds relying on Resilience for utility will be gutted. Only Warlocks retain synergy under the current system. Existing armor builds become obsolete or nonsensical without class-specific handling.
That is why the Class stat is taking over. To give all classes the same opportunity to use their ability. Honestly to me, it was always nonsense to consider the classes all that different. Every class needs to move, reduce damage and use their class ability. In traditional RPGs when there is a specific class, one bonus in one way led to a weakness in another. Knights are strong but dumb. Mages are powerful later but struggle early Archers/Thieves need to hide but are rewarded with their patience in a single damage attack. Destiny cannot survive that way.
