new light can’t play comp
My friend is just started playing destiny, he did a couple of campaigns and hit gaurdian rank 4. So tell me why i try to bring him into comp to grab a redrixes estoc but we get an error “speak with lord shaxx to gain access”. We go to lord shaxx and come to find out he says absolutely nothing, he has no quest, no dialogue, we went to the lost quests terminal and nothing is there either. So tell me, what are we supposed to do? I checked reddit for help nobody knows either just a bunch of lies and theories.

Yeah, this one’s been confusing a lot of new players. As of Final Shape, it looks like you need to be Guardian Rank 5 to access Competitive Crucible. Rank 4 isn’t enough, even if Shaxx doesn’t tell you that directly. The “speak with Shaxx” message is misleading — he has no quest or dialogue, and the game doesn’t explain the requirement clearly. But once your friend hits Rank 5, Comp should unlock like normal.
