For those of you who don't know, Gambler's Dodge no longer refunds a melee charge, it gives you melee energy based on your Melee stat, which means that in order to get the same effectiveness from it that you do now, you'll need to waste 70 points into Strength! And for those of you biased Titan and Warlock mains, who don't know how to love one class without irrationally hating the other 2, just imagine if Healing Rift didn't heal you anymore unless you had 70 points in Health, or Barricade crumpled like tissue paper without 70 Health. That's what's being done to Hunters. Also, it's not just Hunters. Bonk hammer is getting the same treatment. If you want your hammer refunded when you pick it up, guess what? You need to dump 70 points into Strength just to get the same effect you do now for free. These changes are attrocious. One will ruin a lot of builds on Solar Titan, and the other will ruin the entire Hunter class.

I don't even run a mainly melee build but it kills pretty much every rotation I have for every build.

Excuse me WHAT!? I know I’m slow but that’s ridiculous! Hunters keep getting kicked while we’re down, and it still says “fully refunds your Melee energy” -
Yeah, I feel like the negative incentive really doesn't need to be there on the full refund abilities. I think the positive of increasing effects over 100 stat was already enough to make people consider building into melee And then for a couple Hunter builds requiring investment into both Class and Melee just to function how they already have for years seems shortsighted Lots of baffling sandbox decisions in EoF

What a ridiculous pair of nerfs…. More and more disappointed
-
I play all three classes but mainline my Titan like it’s a highly addictive substance. That being said I always enjoy my time on my Hunter. These changes are ridiculous. And I’m not just talking about these specific changes you have mentioned. If Bungie doesn’t walk back many of these changes it’s the death knell of this franchise, and their studio in its current form. I’m going to enjoy saying “I told you so…” to all the Bungie glazers who have defended this asinine direction Bungie has taken with EoF.

100%. But be careful, the meat riders will be after your head for having this opinion.
-
Considering most everyone with a clue runs highest stats on strength ....
-
If they do this and go through with it, assuming i still am going to play. I will be switching class due to being forced to do so. I have all 3 but i do mainly play as Hunter.
-
I did not know that! That’s ruined the fun out especially my solar build for pvp on hunter. And also smokes on void

I think the dodge change is fine, however though its cool-down should be lowered then with such a change.

The actual comparison to rifts not healing and barricades falling over, would be if hunters tripped over when they tried to dodge. Get some air, you're a little light headed.

Edited by TonnoSenpai: 6/9/2025 9:02:48 AMis aproblem only for hunters tbh wich i agree is one of the few bad changes, if ytou are using bonk hammer you are using a melee build
-
Nah you are complaining that your melee build needs melee points to work sounds fair to me. This way it won’t 90% on day 1 of this new raid. Also you say about Titan barricade being like tissue. It’s already that after all the crying and nerfs it got. Bonk hammer fully restores after pick up too.
