I truly believe this will be it for the majority of players. Most people play D2 for the experience. The gear system that is being explained will only create even more elitism than currently exists in D2. Streamers have won completely. If the current ultimatum difficulty has shown, adepts and higher tiered weapons and armor will give the elite a constant advantage. When that happens I typically stop playing the game slowly. There's no point trying to overcome that wall.
I truly believe this will be it for the majority of players.
Casual players aren't the majority.
Most people play D2 for the experience.
And the experience isn't to just sit there and do f*ck all and be rewarded for it. Either do what's required to get something or don't cry when you don't. It's really that simple.
The gear system that is being explained will only create even more elitism than currently exists in D2.
Doing harder content to get better gear than the players you just run around patrol zones isn't elitism. Demanding you get things for doing nothing is, though. I mean, imagine thinking anyone cares such about the no thumbs, blueberry patch patrol zone only players. If you can't do what's required to get something, then either get better or live with it.
Streamers have won completely.
Streamers also don't make up the majority. They do, however, overlap with the actual majority who don't want the game to be a group hand holding simulator just because a small few refuse to play what's required or are incapable of doing what's required.
If the current ultimatum difficulty has shown, adepts and higher tiered weapons and armor will give the elite a constant advantage.
Well, adepts aren't a thing when the dlc comes out of that's irrelevant and the higher tiered gear is available to everyone, so the only disadvantage anyone will ever have is the ones they give themselves by not doing what rewards the best gear.
When that happens I typically stop playing the game slowly. There's no point trying to overcome that wall.
Ok bye. Is anyone supposed to care that you're incapable or refusing to do things to get the best gear? It's funny how you use a wall in this context. It gets even better when you realize that the wall has a door just to your right that's sitting wide open, waiting to be walked through. Just because you're won't step through it doesn't make it not exist.
