Game Crashes to Desktop When Traveling to Pale Heart

Hello, I am experiencing a consistent issue with Destiny 2 where the game crashes to the desktop without any error message whenever I attempt to travel to the Pale Heart destination. This crash happens during the loading screen, and I am immediately returned to the desktop without any kind of prompt or warning. I have already taken several troubleshooting steps: I verified the game files via Steam (no issues reported). I manually deleted the files related to the Pale Heart and let Steam re-download them. I completely reinstalled the game. I checked the Windows Event Viewer and logs, but found no entries that seem to relate to the crash or Destiny 2. Despite these efforts, the problem persists. Other destinations in the game work without any issues — the problem seems to be specific to the Pale Heart.I would greatly appreciate any assistance or further troubleshooting steps you can suggest. Thank you in advance.

 • Since other destinations work fine and it's crashing when loading into the Pale Heart, this could point to either a corrupt cached asset or a conflict with specific files/assets tied to that zone. Here are a few additional things you might try: Temporarily disable overlays or third-party apps: Things like Discord Overlay, NVIDIA GeForce Experience, Razer Synapse, etc., can conflict with certain game scenes or assets. Try launching the game with those turned off or fully closed. Test with all graphics settings on low, especially disabling motion blur and film grain, sometimes specific Pale Heart effects can cause a crash with certain hardware configs. Run Destiny 2 as Administrator, and make sure your Windows and GPU drivers are fully up to date. As a final test you could also try to delete Destiny 2’s cache folders manually (if you haven't already): Go to: C:\Users\<YourName>\AppData\Roaming\Bungie\DestinyPC and C:\Users\<YourName>\AppData\Local\Temp Delete the Bungie/Destiny folders here (don’t worry, these will regenerate on launch). Help this helps!
