Yello folks! I have just had a pretty crazy two weeks. My parents had been planning a big cruise for a couple years to celebrate their anniversary, and it just so happened that it coincided with my high school graduation and my brothers birthday, making this cruise a pretty big event.
We went and saw a whole lot of cool stuff all across the Mediterranean! We stayed in Rome for two days, and I saw the Colosseum, as well as the friggin Vatican, which was super cool. I hadn't ever even really thought about Catholic culture or practices, so I learned a whole lot.
Then we went to to ton of other places:
Pisa and Florence, where I picked up a Florentine leather jacket, v cool
Naples, where I got a -blam!- keychain and had fried pizza, which was basically a whole 12 inch folded into a calzone. Very good though!
Sicily, where I saw a very neat clocktower
Crete, where there was... yknow the whole Minos stuff, I got a bronze dagger, and also had a greek White Monster for kicks and giggles.
We then went to a couple places that I missed to stay on the boat and hang out, which was a chill 2 days.
After that got to see Istanbul, one of the coolest cities that trip. The Grand Bazaar is mesmerizing, and being inside the Blue Mosque was something else.
After that was Mykonos, where we went to see the island that Artemis and Apollo were born on. It turns out that there are a ton of cats everywhere. I had a really, really good burger and a cat the store named Garfield wanted a bite.
Then we got to see Rhodes, my second favorite destination. There was a whole castle and medieval town that was still in use. There was a guy in pretty good Knight kit and stuff. Just means I got to step up my own game
Last was Athens, where we stayed for two days as well. Very cool city, we went to one of the beaches there. Sadly, the water was freezing, but I did kayak around for an hour or so.
I spent almost all of my downtime on the ship watching Supernatural and playing Rimworld, which was lovely. There was a restaurant on the ship that was essentially a pub, and had food for 24 hours, the only one on the ship. I went almost nightly to get a Rueben there, usually after my second dinner. I ate... a scary amount of food on that trip.
One of the things that carried me through the whole trip was getting super into a smaller stoner rock band called Youngblood Supercult, very good stuff. If you like stoner rock / hard blues, definitely give it a try.

Nice, a walk through history of ancient people, ah Mykonos, I watched a documentary of more recent archeology there, it was quite fascinating. I am a tad jealous and want to visit these places, not just for the sights but the traditional foods must be quite scrumptious.

Bringing the dagger back. No issues? Probably blunted but like.... a legit double edged bronze dagger is cool af.
