Cross Save: Unable to Authenticate Steam to Disable Cross Save – No Steam Support Option
I am completely locked out of managing Cross Save. My Xbox account (P1umPlatypus) is correctly set as the active account and my Steam account (P1umplatypus) is properly linked. However, my characters do not appear on Steam, and when I try to disable Cross Save, I receive an authentication error:
“The account you attempted to verify is not linked to your currently logged in account.”
I’ve confirmed all accounts are correct. I’ve tried:
Clearing cookies and cache
Using multiple browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge)
Private/incognito mode
Clearing Bungie local config files
Verifying game files
I also attempted to contact Steam Support but was told that Destiny 2 is unsupported since it's free-to-play — no contact options are available. I am unable to proceed and completely locked out of resolving this on my own.

4 RepliesSorry but "The account you attempted to verify is not linked to your currently logged in account." means exactly what it says; the one you are authorizing and the one linked in your Cross-Save are two different accounts. Steam allows multiple accounts with the same email after all...
