Edited by Dooodley: 6/8/2025 5:12:02 PMEasily Halo 2 - it launched at the perfect time and had a vastly superior skill system to Halo 3. In Halo 3 you were able to get stuck at a certain level if you won too much - because the system wasnt able to calculate just wins. We had 130 straight wins at one point and were forced to get on new GT's and throw a couple of matches to get somewhere. Also, you didnt have the party chat option on the original xbox - meaning that basically everyone was in match chat. Party chat really ruined multiplayer on consoles.

Grew up in the 343 era but I had a copy of halo 3 for an old 360 when I was younger and I would play split screen with my buddies all day during the summer.

To much nostalgia for me. I played these games with my siblings when I was younger. 1 has great multiplayer maps and snipping people with the magnum was always fun. 2 has a great story and 2 person campaign has some interesting stuff. 3; well it had good cutscenes but the story was just so sad. I love these games a lot but you know I think halo 2 is the best.

Bearing in mind I mostly only played campaign, not multiplayer, Halo 2 wind by a long shot for me. Neither 1 or 3 are in my top 3, but Halo 2 is either first or second.
