Everything I've seen about it so far tells me that it will be, unless you're one of those tiny percentage of players who can solo anything.

Logically things look to be close to existing. You will still have the current adept chasing (T5) in weapons and armor requiring raids or max difficulty content. What you gain over standard drops (T3, T4) seem to be be minimal. You still have explore modes and various levels of difficulty. Just lots more complexity. The question is where in the scale of fixes and new bugs will this change bring? Paid for it hoping not to be disappointed.

They’ve added in game lfg. They’re making a solo Playlist. They’ve added exotic class items to holiday events as permanent unlocks so you don’t have to do duel destiny. They’ve added loss protection for solos in trials. Idk why solo players are determined to die on this “bungie hates solo players” hill but it’s just not true.

why are we 10 years in still insisting on playing solo?? you’re missing out on more than half of the game

I think it'll screw over dedicated end-game players more - the people who don't play much outside of raids and whatnot. I say that because unless raid gear also come with HUGE power bumps they're going to be stuck at power levels where they won't be able to earn the highest tiers - despite completing the highest content. That feeling is going to suck.

Generally the game has got more and more generous to solo players. I think if you can achieve tier 4/5 level gear in solo activities then that’s a massive win. Yes it might be hard but it’s literally the best gear in the game.

From what I've seen, solo players are going to eat really well. Almost any activity can be played solo and you have 100 different modifiers to select from. The video I watched showed T4 gear was possible solo and not really that hard to obtain. Especially with practice and finding the easiest modifiers to reach T4. It also seems T5 gear is possible solo, but you will have to play on the GrandMaster difficulty. Which makes sense to me. If you're getting the best gear you have to play the hardest content. Just like any other mmo rpg.

so you have seen nothing, since solo ops is a thing

Idk. The game has been insanely generous to solo players since the last two dlc.
