Unlike the ever precent problem with cheaters, the ever precent problem of quitters has a potentially easier solution: Cheater's queue. We currently have matchmaking features that provide a similar mechanic as well as tools that can detect those who abuse features like: backing out of a match to protect stats or flawless streaks. This would be a version of a quitter's ban in Trails and comp without hard interrupting gameplay for the violators. Frequent quitters would be flagged by the server as it does currently and moved into match making with players who frequently do not finish their matches. This measure would keep any playlist this is applied to mostly cleared of those who frequently quit or disconnect due to unwillingness to finish a match that it's not going their way at the time or simply do not have reliable connection from affecting the rest of the player population. Those sent to this match making can then serve what otherwise may have been a ban in this queue, where like minded players populate the playlist and frequent disconnecting players can play until their connection stabilizes. Just like a ban more time is added if the player keeps disconnecting or quitting except that they can still play allowing for a generous leeway for players who are do not behave this way habitually. After all not every disconnect is a player raging. Whether the player is informed of this measure taking place or not it's not required. A similar feature to Marvel Rivals launching you into a bot match if performing poorly. I believe this is a feature that can be implemented as it two of the mechanics already exist in the game(flawless pool and quitter penalty) and it would be a great QOL feature in any PVP game. Think it over.
