Power reset in edge of fate
Not a big fan of getting to 500 just to be cut down again. Diablo did this they lost players faster than they kept. Resetting us back to 10 take away feelin g powerful. Please fix this.

I’m not a fan of it either but a lot of players are so they made that change. It really depends on how the leveling feels as a whole. They have given the most autonomy and diversity to leveling that’s ever been in the game so hopefully it’s a better experience. I do like most of the new armor system though and honestly adept and shiny weapons we have will be fine under the new change until we get the tier 4/5 new ones.

The number is irrelevant. If they sunset our weapons that is a problem.

Diablo lost players because Diablo is -blam!-. That’s the difference. -
Path of exile also does hard resets every season. So do a lot of other games. Diablo just sucks and that’s why they can’t keep players.

I do not agree with sunsetting previous season bonuses and the power level all the way back to 200 in the future though. The current seasons are already slow the last month or so, people are going to feel even less invested when they know that everything they earn will be less special the next season. They need to come up with some really cool swag, outside of weapons and gear, for people to have an incentive to play. And don't start with "we should just play for fun". EVERYONE plays certain things for just the loot from time to time - and sometimes the majority of the time.

So, in Renegades you will be reset to 200 power. 200 is power soft cap, everything above 200 is seasonal power. Seasons last for six months I believe. As far as I can tell artifact power is gone. Getting to 200p is easy, just play the game. After 200p time to grind the portal/seasonal content, again just play the game. Also, from what I can see at least in the portal anyway you are not scaled, you are allowed to over level again. It's a grinding game and a very easy one at that. Also, why do you care how fast you level? Unless you are going to be doing the world's first Raid race, you don't need to speed level. If you are going to be doing world's first, then you need to set aside time to really grind and level. Stop worrying about your power level being reset. Within probably 3 or so weeks (maybe less) after the powerful level reset, we'll be demolishing everything again anyway. You will be fine, just relax.

Who cares. It’s just a number. I’d be fine if instead of a power number it’s just said base, powerful, or pinnacle or tier 1,2, &3 or something. Essentially that’s all the power level is is access to those different tiers of difficulty levels for content.

Diablo has been doing this since seasons became a thing. The vast majority of people who left that game because of seasonal characters can only blame themselves for not researching how ARG looter seasons work. It's not remotely an analogue for what's been revealed about Destiny 2 and EoF.
