Hello,
Just a thought.
I enjoy running high mobility. I also enjoy using boot mods. Why will the new system force players to choose either/or. Currently, there is a trade of: Mob/Rec... BUT... Whichever you choose to build into, you still can use boot mods.
THE PROMLEM
In order to keep the mobility I currently run I'll have to stack 3 'ENHANCED ATHLETIC' mods(3 points) but use 3 slots. Meaning, I'll have plenty of points to use boot mods, but no open slot to equip them.
MY SUGGESTION
Have 3 levels of 'ENHANCED ATHLETIC' mod costing 1,2, or 3 points.
I point mod = +30 mobility
2 point mod = +55 mobility
3 point mod = +70 mobility
That way players can BOTH retain current mobility AND still use a boot mod or two AND there is a trade off.
Cost would be the same but instead of hogging all the spots mobility would take only one spot, but cost more for additional benefit.
I think using 1 mod slot vs 3, when one would do, just to retain or current mob level is a fair compromise.
I think Lose Mob OR Lose mods will upset a lot of players who value high mob and mods.
Mob/Rec was a good trade
Mob/Mods means players lose.
Lose mobility or Lose mods Vs lose mobility or lose ONE mod slot is an easier pill to swallow.
