It's a game.
Why is there so much whining around Destiny 2?
People going on about "if they sunset" A or B, I've wasted 1000s of hours.
IT'S A GAME!
Playing it (solo or with friends) and obtaining stuff is basically it!
I have over 4000 hours of play, nearly all PvE and I just enjoy the gameplay and striving for weapons and exotics. I couldn't care less if the entire inventory was wiped out and I had to start from scratch.... that's the point!
In fact, the game is so old now, what IS THERE to strive for? It's great they're going to have an overhaul (not enough IMO, I would have got rid of everything and started fresh).
You can all post your sweaty aggressive comments now... I know you will...but be aware, I will make a YouTube video of me dismantling rare weapons and armour, IN SLOW MOTION, and send it to you all.

I wonder how unstable their personal lives must be to run to a forum and have a complete meltdown over a 11 year old game making changes. Those handing out actual feedback on what things look like atm not included.. But if you’re refunding or speaking about the emd then this applies to you 100%. It’s a video game not a life choice.

39 RepliesFeedback about the game in the - Feedback Forum - isn't whining. It's simply expressing either satisfaction or frustration with how the game is going. One would think that the idea behind it was so that Bungle could gauge their success or failure. It is, in fact, calling out in the wilderness with no one listening. I've got over 7,000 hours.

Yes destiny 2 is a game but you got to understand that this is a game that people invest thousands of hours of gameplay of collecting god rolls of a collecting adapt weapons it is not an easy thing to do it takes a long time and bungie has said since 2014 is that we respect the players progression and time invested Hence why we have seen content creators who basically told Bungie to their face that if you expect us to regrind our god rolls and adapts you can go f*** yourself I seen plenty of people make similar post to yours and usually people like you are the kind of people who don't really grind for dungeons or raids or even adapt weapons for Grandmaster for that matter because you don't understand the emotion you don't understand the feeling of acquiring these weapons these adapt these raid and dungeon gear for Bungie just to tell us I'll just throw it in the trash.

1 ReplySome people look for reasons to be upset. For me as long as I have fun with my clan I don't care as I know whatever changes bungie makes I can adapt pretty well like I've had to with other online games.

6 RepliesThe biggest issue is people want to play a grinding game, but they don't want to grind. They don't want to grind for their power, stats, armor, weapons, items, etc. They just want to instantly be best in slot and deal max damage and have max survivability. It makes zero sense. Also, people just throw random gear and items on their Toons and then expect to have the same performance as someone who took time to balance stats and make a proper build. This I've never understood. It's a grinding game, yes some of your gear will become outdated in EOF.... Thats the point!!! What is the use of bungie creating all this new gear if there is zero reason to grind for any of it. Grinding for loot is playing the game.

I would be behind the grind 100% because I’ve done it many times. It’s about not being honest about many things while minimal content was released over a period of time. A couple include-1. Strand was supposed to be in the Witch Queen expansion. 2. Exotic class items perks having limited functionality.

It doesn't matter that Destiny 2 is old what matters is Bungie is clearly not respecting the players progression or the time that they invest in this game they want to take away everything from players. Ex this is what outriders, in outriders we had an inventory bug where it wiped your entire inventory players didn't come back to regrind everything they told Square enix to go f*** yourself. Yes Bungie said this: [Will I be able to use my current gear? "Your current gear is still very viable in The Edge of Fate and you will surely use it in the near future when beginning the new expansion, and even in Contest Mode for the World First Race.] https://www.bungie.net/7/en/News/Article/twid_06_05_2025 however it does raise the question how effective would adapt weapons be in terms of the new tier system. obviously we're going to have to increase weapon damage with tier weapons but a lot of people are speculating that maybe because of the way you get adapt weapons maybe they might make them into tier ones or even tier 2. You can even view it as what was the point of Bungie releasing ultimatum dungeons if these weapons are just going to be thrown in the trash at the start of edge of Fate logically it would have made more sense to release ultimatum dungeons in edge of fate!

Most people don't realize how old destiny 2 is . It used to be 100 times more fun , better created and way more addictive but the whole game got changed very badly .. I think they did that to satisfy the streamers so they would remain , make videos about new stuff and still make money for bungie by simply continue making content for them cause they were saying the game was boring and were moving to other games . (No wonder they got bored by playing destiny 24/7) . Playing destiny 2 is a hobby , something you do when you come home from work or school or when you are just at home . Playing destiny 2 is not a job . 😂 Imagine playing it 24/7 , you would notice the minor flaws , what could be improved and all too cause you have nothing else to do . Meamwhile people that are no content creators who just like to play destiny 2 are forced to watch destiny 2 change and watch streamers go along with it .. Why destroy something that was already great , huh ? Well ... because of money . Bungie thought they were gonna lose their playerbase and the only way to save that is to satisfy the streamers . One problem ... Streamers speak for all of their fanboys , not the entire playerbase of destiny 2 . Playing destiny 2 is a hobby , not a job . Most people don't realize that . So most people that are no streamers complain on these forum pages to get heard by bungie hopefully like myself . One day , i hope that the 2019 version of destiny 2 comes out or just remove this abomonation of destiny 3 that they created and still call it destiny 2 because i have spend more than 6k hours and quit several months ago . Nothing yet but hey , a man can dream , right ?

I think the game was up for a change - I'm just not sure about the way they're going about it. I don't even care about the things that indirectly will be sunset at the start of the new era. My concern lies with the incentive to grind during future season - if they're going to slap us with such a hefty power reset and sunset of the previous season bonuses every time a new season arrives. I mean, let's be real, everyone plays stuff in destiny 2 sometimes - or perhaps even most of the time - that they otherwise wouldnt have played if it wasnt for the loot. You just have to play a strike through MM, watch people speedrun just to get it over as fast as possible to realize that loot often is more important than fun. Will we play as much - and especially at the end of a season - if we know that the gear will lose its bonuses in a not so distant future???

If whining bothers you. Your best bet is to stay out of the forums. It's mostly all doom and gloom at this point and it's a bit of a contradiction to be upset and post about all the whining for you just to whine about the whiners.

Dunno.. I always had fun wasting my time this way. Go somewhere, shoot everyone one the way, take loot, hit a switch (ops that’s borderlands), deploy ghost.. Not doing it for the [i]elaborate[/i] story. I mourned some stuff that got left behind but I got plenty left to play with that I also like.

1 ReplyYou are absolutely right! It is a game, but people now take it so seriously and view it as a job, rather than a hobby, that they’ve taken their own pleasure out of playing. Sure, Bungie have messed up many a time, but the overall gameplay is solid and there are some cool missions, weapons and armour. The game has to evolve to survive, and much of what is coming would probably have been the opening gambit of a Destiny 3, which is still what many seem to want. Just play the game, and if people don’t like it, then they are spoiled for choice with other games to play. They don’t have to play Destiny.

5 RepliesThe best reason I can give is because some of these people thrive on whining for attention. I mean, just look at some of those posts. A few that I've replied to pointing out how the new weapon and armor system isn't bad or pointing out how the people who made those posts are stating false things and you'll find that they all got upset and had their little tantrums. I also doubt any of them will show up on your post because they won't get the attention they want here.
