Stuck On A Black Screen After Signing In To Destiny 2

This all started after I used Alt + F4 to leave the game while on the character customization screen at the very beginning of the game after installing it and picking my class. I used Alt + F4 to leave the game because I could not leave the game any other way, I was stuck in full screen mode with no way out. Upon re-opening the game, I signed in and it showed me the loading screen with the animated loading icon on the bottom right corner of the screen. After about a couple seconds the loading animation on the bottom right of the screen stopped moving and froze in place. My screen would stay frozen like this until I restarted my computer. Restarting my computer was the only way to leave the game at this point, Alt + F4 or Windows + Tab, etc., did not do anything. I tried several troubleshooting options such as verifying the integrity of the game files via steam, uninstalling and reinstalling it the game, repairing corrupted files on my PC with multiple different commands, turning off game mode and the game bar separately and together on my PC and then trying to run destiny, turning off all DLC‘s and then trying to run the game, and more. All to no avail. Eventually, when I opened the game I believe the last time after uninstalling it and reinstalling it, after signing in, the screen went black instead of turning to a frozen loading screen, and I had the same issues with not being able to leave the game without restarting my PC. I have a downloaded Destiny 2 on my Xbox series S and signed in and I have no issues with it so far, and I am using the same account. In conclusion, I am stuck on a black screen. Please let me know if there is any way to fix this issue. I would not like the money I spent on the DLC’s to go to waste.

 • Hi there, Some users were able to resolve this issue by configuring their audio settings in windows. Please try the following steps:
- Go to Windows > Settings > App Volume and Device Preferences - Verify that Steam is set to default - Launch Destiny 2 - Return to App Volume and Device Preferences - Set Destiny to default - Force close Destiny 2 using task manager
If you're still getting stuck on the same screen after trying this out, please let us know.
