Destiny 2 is a Power-Fantasy. Make it feel like one.
Prismatic is good. We love prismatic because it feeds the power-fantasy, and we want to keep using it because of that. Nerfing it so it feels as bad as other options isn’t the solution, you need to buff the other subclasses up to Prismatic.
You denied this is the way forward on the Q&A, but it is the obvious way forward. None of us enjoy PvE nerfs. Nobody is excited for the TWABs that include nerfs, and it draws people away from the game when you nerf their favourite builds.
What we do enjoy, is a TWAB with buffs. Cool exotics you may have never picked up due to its’ uselessness (Looking at you, Wings of Sacred Dawn) being reworked to fit the current sandbox is what we want. That draws players back to Destiny, and consequently, draws new players to Destiny along with them.
We know you’re a playtime-junkie, so give us something that makes us WANT to keep playing, something that makes us recommend Destiny 2 to other people. I’m sick of saying “No” when people ask if Destiny 2 is currently worth spending time on.

Power is good in small doses, but if you have power all the time, it gets boring Why the people that play 12 hours a day keep wanting increased difficulty

I miss being a character in the story, like when I'd speak to people in D1. I'm now third Guardian from the left, sitting petting my cat while Osiris and Zavala argue. Then they order me to go do something and to be quick about it. And I'd better get them coffee before I go. Not the power fantasy that I signed up for. Just a boring grind full of bullet sponges.

Never gonna happen they haven't been able to make power matter even during d1. It's only time is when it's used to hinder players.
