How is it a "snare" if it lasts 3.5 seconds on the environment and can't lure enemies?
The major issue it brought to PvP (being that it could slow players), was nerfed, and that's completely fine. Not reverting the duration nerf, and/or not increasing the total PvE damage or utility when Nightstalker has no other melee option is absolutely stupid decision making (especially since they completely forgot to make any changes in accordance to Khepri's Sting, which has already been a sad excuse for an exotic to be fair).
I know it blinds people, and pings radar, but just nerf the radar ping or add a bright visual effect like Spectral Blades has so people know it's a smoke and not another player, then the original 10s duration will be perfectly fine.

This is one of many reasons I said Bungie need to actually make some decisions to actually separate Pvp and PvE because trying to find that thin line balance for both is not working anymore and it's a prime example why a lot of abilities,weapons,exotics are not useful in both modes
