You might wanna try equipping Ember of Torches—funny thing is, it doesn’t say it restores melee energy, but for some reason it actually does when you're using the knife. Although, no idea why it’s giving you dodge energy back. Might just be some weird interaction Bungie hasn't officially explained yet. Worth a shot while they look into it. Let me know if it works I am curious.
