Gambit is everyone's favorite punching bag, including Bungies.
Now everyone hates Gambit for different reasons. What i dislike about Gambit, is the forced in pvp aspect that is just terribly implemented. Now i know why it was added, but i don't know why it is still in.
The whole invasion part just puts the game to a screeching halt. Depending on the team.
The buffs the invader gets is just insane. Increased damage, damage resistance and of course wallhacks. Now sure the wallhack part was changed to were it is no longer active when aiming down sight, but it honestly doesn't do that much.
A 1 vs 1 is pretty much a death sentence due to the buffs they have.
That is if you even get into a 1 vs 1 and not just snipped from a distance or gun down as soon as you walk around a corner.
This is all not to mention how there is zero benefits from killing an invader. Sure you prevent them from killing you and making you lose your motes or healing the boss. But you don't really get anything other than 3 motes. Like wtf ? Just invading already benefits your team, you don't even have to kill anyone. Most of the time you will waste their time by having them looking for you or hiding from you.
Anyways. How would i make Gambit better ? Well i have 2 solutions.

1. High risk high reward. If you really want to keep invasion than it needs a change. First of all, an invader needs to be treated as a high value target.
Before boss fight, the invader will now drop 15 motes rather than just 3.
During boss fight, the invader will now be considered as an Envoy. Not in terms of you needing to kill them to remove the bosses shield, but killing them giving your team either 1 or 2 stack(s) Primeval slayer.
Now it is not the biggest of changes, but it will at least make it worth it going out there to kill the invader.
2. Pve only. This is my preferred way. Remove the whole pvp aspect from Gambit.
Now to make up for the absent of pvp, we increase the motes required to spawn in the boss, by around 50. Not only do we increase the amounts, but we also make the enemies tougher. Just as Bungie has already made it, randomly when you fight the Hives, you can meet Lucent hives. And with Cabals we can meet the Shadow variants with the inclusion of the dreads. only the Psion tough.
Now just make this change for the falens, by including Brigs.
And add a Dread only enemy option.
Now yes yes come with your oh so funny comments with your suggestions to make it better and that being to remove it from the game. Never heard that before.
