The upcoming addition of a shooting range is excellent on its own, but I think this could be improved upon further with on-site tutorials for each weapon type in Destiny 2. Perhaps a kiosk offering a full selection of repeatable tutorial "quests" within the shooting range which each cover the general functions of a specific weapon and explain the difference between the type's subfamilies?

I made a post about this years ago. This community was so harsh on me for even mentioning a shoot range to test weapons that I had to report users for harassment and it got so bad I just had to remove the post myself. Great Idea but bungie can't even figure dedicated servers.

I think glaives are the only ones that aren’t intuitive. And even those you can figure out with some reading.

Welcome to the gun tutorial! To use your gun, shoot. Tutorial complete!

tutorial = inspect your gun and look at the bottom of the screen, available at every in-game location

Having banshee 44 voicing it would be awesome

I think this is a great idea. Using weapons is an integral part of this game & it might be difficult to understand what all the perks do, especially for new players. Some kind of gun range that shows big text on the screen when you’re proc’ing some kind of bonus damage, healing, whatever - would act as the first steps to understanding how to buildcraft. I played solo many years & didnt learn anything till I joined LFG’s where ppl yelled at me to use certain combinations. It shouldnt be that way. People think I’m harsh cuz I say explore mode would be bad for raids… but something like this would help a guardian become stronger on their own, so that they can join a group & only worry about learning mechanics & strategy, instead of also having to be told which weapons to use or how to use them. I like it.

Just shoot it? Tutorial over.

Maybe for Exotics, but that's about it.
