Star Wars
Ok the star wars talk got me thinking and hear me out Darth sidious was a failure.
1. He failed to train a strong apprentice that can replace him maul cut in half by a young kanobi, dooku was never anything but his rebound apprentice and vader turned back and was never fully a sith.
2. His empire fell apart quickly only what 25 years.
3. He only reset the jedi order not fully destroyed them cal, yoda, kanobi, voss, baris, kanan, ezra if they united they could have beat the sith sooner.
His desire for immortality and to be the ultimate power was his undoing instead of trying to build a stable empire and a sith successor.

He also messed up with killing 99 percent of the Jedi. So many turned to his side after the war, he should have waited, claimed his power, captured all the Jedi, convinced them all to turn, any that didn’t he could kill, and the. He’d have an ARMY of inquisitors. And with Obi Wan captured there would be no battle. Padme would probably have still died from depression, but Luke and Leia likely would have been raised by Vader. There is however, the possibility of Obi Wan escaping along with Yoda (can’t see them getting captured) and the events towards the end still taking place. Lots of What Ifs, I’ve always wanted a tv series for it. But actually fun What Ifs, not like Marvels What If series…

9 RepliesOf course he was, a megalomaniac defeated by his own hubris. 1.He didn't bother with a proper apprentice because he was certain he couldn't be beaten. 2. Expected everyone to buy into his "peace through submission and obedience" nonsense. 3. Thought the remaining Jedi were no longer a threat without the counsel. At least, that's my takeaway.
