Hello hello hello! How are my seventh favorite collection of fleshbags doing?
First off, new music. I found a band named ISIS, which happens to be a new top band for me. As per usual, I'm shitty with genres, but I've heard them called post-metal, if that helps the more knowledgeable amongst you.
Secondly, that concert. It's hard to express exactly how great that was. Obviously Louder than Life was more hype (there was just more bands), but Limp Bizkit was amazing. Fred Durst was so obviously enjoying himself it was hard not to catch his energy. He even got down into the snake pit (I think he fell) and was just singing in the middle of the pit. I think he met someone from Suicidal Tendencies as well?
Metallica was just as good, but as a Nu-metal guy, I preferred Bizkit. Though, even the songs from 72 Seasons that Metallica performed went well, and the theatrics were obviously more in-depth than Bizkit's show, so it was super enjoyable.
Now some issues, because... wow. Nashville sucks for concerts. I've done some concerts downtown and in small venues, which are always a treat, but Nissan stadium was hellish. Part of the issue was my fault, I didn't get gas before parking in the garage, so when we were gridlocked into a parking garage for 3 hours, I didn't have enough gas to leave my car on and charge my phone, and there were no bathrooms in walking distance. If I ever get foolish enough to want to drive myself back down to Nashville, I need you all to psychically stop me. I also had to miss most of INK's show because of the traffic through Nashville.
Anyways, the concert made me realized I do not listen to Bizkit enough, so I'll get back to that.
