Best thing moving forward.

The best thing for this game would be for Bungie to completely abandon pvp. Move the pvp team to Marathon and have the Pve team make some big changes. It will be a lot easier for them if they don't have to worry about "pvp balancing" when they make new weapons, perks and abilities. They have had 10 years to prove to us that they can handle pvp and they have failed to do so. You see nothing but complaints about pvp here on the forum, so what is the point of wasting both time and resources keeping this thing on life support. Abandon pvp and put all of your time and effort on pve content. Dlc's, seasonal, planets, dungeons and raids. Let pvp die already.

 • And wipe out 30 percent of the playerbase, when they cant afford to lose anymore? Brilliant!

 • I agree but differently. PvP is a major part of Destiny, it should not be completely abandoned. However, it should have a separate creative team, devs, engine/server, whatever… cuz right now, there’s too dang much going on to run smoothly. I personally would have liked for Final Shape to be the end of D2 campaign/content… too much lore is being reused, recycled, repackaged & no longer makes any sense. A brand new player can buy the game & all the DLC’s right now & immediately launch into an Episode where Eris Morn is “k1lled” & a campaign where Cayde is brought back from the dead… all before ever playing the campaigns that explain who Eris & Cayde even are ! Its nonsensical! My idea: D2 story ends with Final Shape, but it continues to be PvP focused. One last expansion “Only the Strong” or some crap, to market the new PvP direction. This will allow a dedicated team to work on the match-making, balancing, rotating trails, IB, etc… meanwhile, Bungie/SONY hires a completely new team to come up with NEW characters, new story, new lore for a separate D3 that takes place 100 years into the future, or maybe a prequel focused on the Golden Age? Whatever, just something NEW that will attract NEW players, as well as old players who wanna take a break till something new happens.

 • You people need to get a grip. PvP has been a part of the game as long as the PvE. The FULL gameplay loop is to take the things you earn through the campaign and high difficulty settings into PvP. It's the Bronze and Silvers that don't seem to understand that. PvP is affected by the introduction of new weapons, loadouts, and mechanics and there's an adjustment period to strike the right balance. Just like in PvE. Each have good and bad periods. Crucible is here to stay. Marathon is an entirely different game produced by the same company but has nothing to do with the fans of this game.
