I Don't Know How To Play Any More
Destiny 2 is a way too inconsistent first person shooter.
The one match my weapons are working good and i'm taking normal damage.
And the next three matches my weapons don't work any more and i'm dead, before I can even pull the trigger. This while I know exactly where the enemy is coming from and i'm even pre-shooting.
I really don't know how to play any more.
In 2025 this should not be happening in an online fps.
P.S. Marathon looks very ugly.
Not attractive characters and ugly inviroment.

2 RepliesIt's just bungie servers unfortunately. I have days where I'm one shot by someone, but my friend informs me they did in fact shoot me three times. Then there's days my friend is one shot, but the enemy on my side fired three times. The best example is bows. I'll shoot someone and it won't register for 10 seconds before they die through five walls.

1 ReplyP2P Servers with old, garbage code = current Crucible and it just gets worse. Look at melees for example, got two enemies in close proximity in front of you? 50/50 shot you melee the guy behind the 1st guy, or the melee just doesn't work.

I would imagine the Destiny population is also at its lowest while we wait on new content. I would think that the Crucible is full of diehards right now. Maybe Rite of the Nine will bring some players back to offer us a little more diversity in terms of skill. At least, this is what I tell myself when I get stomped in PVP lol.

Other players say get better or git gud sp??? A coworker told me he has a dedicated connection specifically for online console gaming. I cant do that where im living with these savages (my family lol). I think most people have a large amount of devices connected to their isp access point. Theres also latency. When i run a test, a ping sometimes is 30 miles away. Sometimes its 120 miles away. Also factor in coaxial v fiber. My isp has been telling us a fiber upgrade is coming (5 yrs). We had a tech come by for service and told us theyre currently installing fiber in newer subs and we keep getting pushed back. Were also in an area that offers only spectrum or att. We have spectrum. Also just from reading around the web, it seems the longer a player spends in the game, the better it looks traffic wise for the developer. Enter comp and trials for destiny. Average players could spend a day trying to get to the lighthouse, a weekend if they try with all 3. Basically, most people, like myself, are just trying to enjoy a game by simply turning it on. Its evident thats not how it actually is anymore. Also, get a good buzz and try to enjoy yourself.

Last night in the last round on solo averno exploration, suddenly the scorns began to one shoot kill me me and everything was almost god mode. I lost 20 token in a couple of minutes and the run was a fail... I'm *Very* sure instead, Bungie is trolling as.

2 RepliesI have the exact same problem Whos you internet provider? Im in upstate NY and it's absolutely HORRIBLE. Unplayable at least 75% of the time. I have the absolute best of everything all the way to the pole. It has to be an issue with some intenet providers slowing the connections down maybe or just Horrible servers. Bungie connection uses Valve servers first for all platforms so that cant be it can it.

Perhaps the enemy is using slice, that can change the ttk for weapons.
