Lost my emblems after my PSN account got hacked-
Hello, I don´t know if anyone could help me here since Bungie hasn´t provided any solution, I lost access to my PSN account back in August 2024, I just got it back a month ago and with it, I regained access to my Destiny 2 PSN account once again, that account wasn´t crossaved at all, it was only registered in PSN without being linked to any other platform, weird thing is that when I logged back into the game all my emblems were gone, I had pretty rare ones such as Heretic, Razer... my bungie ID was also changed altough I didn´t have any name changes available and my # numbers were also changed, I really don´t know what happened or if there is a solution for this, I could prove well all those emblems are mine since I have the key codes to most of them, but the thing here is that when my PSN was hacked they somehow were able to steal also all my emblems, does someone know what could have happened or if there is any solution to this? 1 ReplyHey there, emblem ownership is controlled by your Bungie Account. I see your current Bungie Account is from March 2023, which could mean one of two things. 1 - Something you did in March 2023, maybe while linking accounts, is the cause. You could have had the PSN account linked to an older Bungie Account on which you redeemed Heretic, etc, back in early 2018 or so. But then when you linked accounts for cross save, you linked PSN to an account with a newer Bungie Account, rather than the other way around, linking the newer account to the PSN's older Bungie Account. The thing about this method is that the emblems on your characters would have all worked perfectly fine; as it was only until a change during Season of the Deep that made it so emblems on a character that did not show as owned in Collections (ie, in the linked Bungie Account) became unusable. 2 - Whoever got control of your PSN account, linked their own accounts, then disconnected your PSN one and discarded it, effectively hijacking your old Bungie Account and ownership of the emblems. I see two problems with that, firstly it'd be easier to just set your PSN account adrift by unlinking it, rather than link it to an older Bungie Account from 2023, something that existed before they got access. Another problem there is you implied it was previously under cross-save and linked to another account - to have done the above, they'd have needed to know ALL of your account logins and passwords. Was it linked to other accounts before and what happens when you log into those? Unfortunately there is not really any solution; as you may have seen, Bungie's standpoint for '1' is that if you orphaned a Bungie Account due to linking the wrong way, that Bungie Account is unrecoverable, and '2' that account security is our own responsiblity, and they will not repair or recover anything on their end. Even if I'm right about 1, and even if you had an older platform account still linked to that Bungie Account, you'd still be stuck since as of 25th of March 2025 it is no longer possible to unlink accounts. So it would not be possible to move your PSN account here, back under that older Bungie Account.
