How can I actually improve at PVP?

Hello friends! So, here's the thing: I'm 37, with a kid (baby daughter who is my whole world). I don't really have the time to sit down all day and just straight-up play for long sessions anymore. A few hours in the evenings is all I really get, but that's just the reality of getting older (it'll come for you, too, kids!) Check out my crucible.report and you'll see my stats. I'm not the worst player ever, but I'm painfully average. I have my moments where I can clutch that 1v3, but it's inconsistant as hell. I'm basically looking for a very streamlined approach to improvement, if you legends could help. As an example, one thing I recently noticed upon reviewing some gameplay is that my peek-shooting from cover was a bit rough, so I went into a patrol and practiced, then after an hour or two of humping cover to get the candence right, I was able to head into some PvP and practice it against actual human players (still a ways to go, but progress. Yay!) Are there any 'movements' or 'actions' I could practice to be a more valuable teammate? Rumble used to be my go-to for practicing my 1's, but the playlist is all but dead. Ideally, I'd like to hear from those players with 1.5/1.6+ KD's, but at this point I'll take anything lol. Thnaks lots, people! Have a great day :) EDIT: Some fantastic replies so far. Thanks to all who have commented! Keep 'em coming!

Some big things imo are. Learning lanes: a lot of the skill gap is map knowledge. Those lanes you get killed from in trials or comp that make you just go "huh?". Use those, learn from ppl using angles you aren't used to and just steal them. Information: I'm very much a sound *******. Rebalance your audio in crucible so you can hear the sfx above everything else. Gunfire across a map is as good as a radar ping, and a hunter loudly going invis behind you around a corner is just them giving their position away. Take every shot: if you can deal damage without putting yourself in a bad position do it. Idc if you have a sidearm and they're 40m out, dealing damage no matter how small helps your team bu weakening and distracting opponents. Mods: have a holster mod for your primary and special and tailor your handling and targeting mods to your guns.
