My Destiny name still showing up as Guardian#### for friends and clan members
I changed my name within the last month or so and I've had continuous issues. I lost all my bungie friends; when I send friend requests, it spams; my name in fireteams bounces between my bungie name (Caboose) and Guardian####. Not really sure what I am supposed to do at this point.

Please try restarting the game and clearing the download cache to resolve the issue: https://help.bungie.net/hc/en-us/articles/360049199051-Clearing-the-Console-Cache If you're on Steam, you can clear the cache by going to Steam>Settings>Downloads>Clear Download Cache.
