Hello, I am trying to authorize a Steam account (Account 1), in order to disable cross save, so I can link another Steam account (Account 2). I want to do this because I created and linked Account 1 to Bungie during a time where I did not have a computer, or use Steam at all. At some point when I started to use a computer I created Account 2, because I had forgotten about Account 1. At this point in time, I have all of my games, game progress, friends, purchases, etc. on Account 2, so I would really like to use that one for Destiny if possible, in order to have all of the above consolidated. When I try to authorize Account 1, I receive the following message: Authentication Error There has been an error. Please try again later. Click here to return the front page. If you require more assistance, click here to go to the Help page. The error code: ErrorCannotAuthorize At this point I have tried everything I've seen from other users having the same issue, including but not limited to: Trying on multiple browsers, trying on multiple devices, trying on the companion app, trying on different days. None of these have worked. I also tried to do this around 2 years ago and ran into the same issue, which deterred me from playing Destiny at all for those 2 years. At the end of the day I just want to be able to play the game and use my Bungie account that I've had for almost a decade, and I'd appreciate any help that can be given regarding this issue.
