Trace Rifles
I got to throw it out there...
Lodestar has very effectively killed all interest in any other Trace Rifle. Its not even a crazy good exotic, minus that primary.
You should really make them all primary ammo.

I still like Ager’s Scepter, but outside that I agree with you. They should be primary ammo or either do more damage and or work with verbal word perks, like scorch and so on.
