My husband's account has been compromised by a third party Epic Games account.
We have already spoken to Epic games customer support, and they have assured us that they cannot assist in any manner. Additionally, we saved the Epic game support chat for reference.
The issue: Someone had acquired login information for one of my husbands third party accounts through nefarious means and logged into his Bungie account. We do not share our account log-in information with anyone. Upon optaining access, the violating party had linked their Epic games account to my husband's Bungie account. Due to the new policies it cannot be unlinked by us. The violating party has changed my husband's user name and profile information, deleted weapons, changed character emblems, deleted friends from the friend list, removed themselves from the clan we created, and added new friends of their own.
We have screenshots of our account name/emails from Bungie, Steam, and Xbox that all match the same email address. Additionally we have a Epic games account that matches the email address that is used for Bungie, Steam, and Xbox but is not linked to Bungie because it was not used for playing Destiny.
My husband has been a Bungie player since Halo in 2001, and a Destiny player since D1 Beta in 2017. We have spent thousands of hours and hundreds of dollars in the Destiny universe. We have also brought friends and family members, some very recently, into the Destiny universe and they have spent money on content to play with us.
Please contact us so we can establish a line of communication over the phone or through email. This way we can verify, clarify, and resolve this issue.

Hello there, Unfortunately it is not possible to unlink an account you don't have access to, additionally as of the 25th of March, it is no longer possible to unlink accounts at all. Bungie does not forcibly unlink accounts under any circumstances.
