Steam account that doesn't exist is still linked to Bungie Account
I created a steam account 5 years ago that has been abandoned for years now, and when I try to find it on steam I see that it doesn't exist. The problem is that this account is linked to my bungie account, and I am unable to change it to my current steam account. Is there any solution to this? Thanks.

2 RepliesHey there, unfortunately no there isn't. It has never been possible to unlink accounts without being able to authenticate them - however as of the 25th of March 2025, it is no longer possible to unlink accounts at all. So it is stuck as-is. Bungie will not forcibly unlink accounts.

No, you had to get the account restored and manually unlink it. As of March 25th though, all platform accounts linked to a Bungie.net account (minus Twitch) became permanently linked. Bungie do not manually unlink for people and aren't granting exceptions.
