How the GM node should work

First things first, if you don’t have the conqueror seal you should be locked into the weekly featured nightfall. Once/if you’ve acquired the conqueror seal the node should be available from the very start of a season/episode with every seasonal/episodic conqueror seal strike available on a knockout list so we have the opportunity to play GMs with the added challenge of being even more unleveled if there’s a power bump for the season/episode and also the added challenge of not having many artifact mods available yet. Once conqueror has been quilded the node should remain and now you have access to all the seasonal/episodic conqueror seal strikes or (preferably) all available strikes/battlegrounds/etc. in the game at GM difficulty so you can play whatever you want whenever you want. I honestly thought y’all calling the shots finally wisened up when the GM node was out with everything available and remaining but having guilded my conqueror node for the 12th time I’ve come to realize nope… you still think adding +1 to your conqueror number and being locked into the weekly featured Nightfall like everyone else who doesn’t even have conqueror completed is a sufficient reward for guilding conqueror, pathetic. You guys are so consistently incompetent at your jobs we have no clue anymore what’s a bug and what’s a changed feature.

  •
First things first, if you don’t have the conqueror seal you should be locked into the weekly featured nightfall.
You have a fundamental misunderstanding of the purpose of the node. It's a catch-up node. It's meant for people who aren't already a conquerer to earn conquerer even if there are less than 9 weeks (the amount of time it would take for a full rotation) left in the season. The node could be improved, but your very first suggestion is a massive miss that completely takes away the reason the node exists in the first place.

  • The simple reason why they will not do this is because when they put “new” weapons into rotation players would just grind the “quicker” gm’s. And because it would require them to work to figure out a “ new” system and they just don’t care to do that now.

As much as I hate to in anyway sound like approving bungo's frequent incompetence this one at least is not that. The problem is we as players want to play whatever whenever however but they as a business want eververse sales and favourable player engagement metrics to show investors. That's why we have drip fed content that we all hate as players but bungo loves because they don't want short spikes of high player count as many of us burn through the content and then stop playing. They want retention, sustained logins and player counts over time, weekly returning logins etc. as every week you have to login for that next bit of content is another chance to tempt a purchase of whatever new stuff is in eververse. Ironically though we might hate it this is them being competent at their job, remember their job isn't making a good game or keeping players happy (though that is a possible route to it) its making money off the suckers that spend in eververse which brings in far more money than selling the game does.
