Marathon Suggestion For Improvement

Hi Bungie, I'm just a new fellow fan of the new Marathon game, I have complied a full analysis of considerations for improving your game, I hope my suggestion would satisfy all of you hard working employees and developers. 1. Simplify Complexity Without Losing Uniqueness: - Review and streamline character abilities and mechanics to reduce overwhelm for new players. Ensure that each ability has a clear purpose and is intuitive to use. - Introduce fewer layers of customization to make characters more approachable without sacrificing what makes them unique. 2. Enhance Visual Design: - Refine the visual aspects of characters to ensure they are clean and easy on the eyes. Consider making animations and character models less stylized or over-the-top to avoid distractions. 3. Improve Accessibility and Balance: - Balance the complexity of character design with accessibility. Ensure that tutorials and in-game guidance are effective in helping players understand character mechanics. - Foster a better community environment by implementing robust anti-toxicity measures and clear community guidelines. - Study successful games like Overwatch or Fortnite to understand effective strategies for balancing complexity and accessibility in character design. 4. Narrative and Lore Considerations: - Ensure that the lore enhances gameplay without overwhelming players. Balance depth in character backgrounds with clarity to prevent alienation. 5. Streamline Mechanics: - Evaluate and simplify control schemes to ensure they are user-friendly. Each ability should serve a distinct purpose and be easily grasped. Implementing these can enhance the character design mechanics of your game, in order to make your game more enjoyable and accessible while preserving its unique elements at the same time for anti-cheats that should be improved and counteract against modders and hackers as well since no one doesn't deserve to modify their own weapons unless it comes from loot boxes or enemies they had killed fairly, I hope this story campaign can be less confusing and more achievable to understand the lore about everything players are about to involve themselves into, for example what is their purpose? And what is their next destination? What do they do next if they manage to find something secretive? These questions should linger in your mind. They are very straightforward in what they do and how to use/activate them. Dumbing things down just because someone either doesn't want to read, pay attention to what it does, know how to use it, or just simply doesn't want to look at how to activate them is a horrible way to design any game.
2. Enhance Visual Design: - Refine the visual aspects of characters to ensure they are clean and easy on the eyes. Consider making animations and character models less stylized or over-the-top to avoid distractions.
This is all subjective. You may not like the art style they chose, but others do, and changing it at this point is a waste of time.
3. Improve Accessibility and Balance: - Balance the complexity of character design with accessibility. Ensure that tutorials and in-game guidance are effective in helping players understand character mechanics.
Yeah, they don't need to hold everyone's hand while playing a game
- Foster a better community environment by implementing robust anti-toxicity measures and clear community guidelines.
Bungie can't control how people act. The destiny community is proof of that. Also, everything doesn't need to be a safe space.
- Study successful games like Overwatch or Fortnite to understand effective strategies for balancing complexity and accessibility in character design.
Overwatch and fortnite have literally nothing to do with this game, and I'd say the fact that bungie has had a successful game up for 10 years, they will be fine not looking at either of those games.
4. Narrative and Lore Considerations: - Ensure that the lore enhances gameplay without overwhelming players. Balance depth in character backgrounds with clarity to prevent alienation.
If someone is getting overwhelmed by lore or narrative things in a game mainly about pvp, then they should probably stick with single-player games. That way, they can choose and go through the stuff at their own pace.
5. Streamline Mechanics: - Evaluate and simplify control schemes to ensure they are user-friendly. Each ability should serve a distinct purpose and be easily grasped.
From what I've seen, they are. If someone can't figure them out, then that's not bungie's responsibility to do it for them. People can learn how to play a game without everything being dumbed down to its most basic and simple version to do so. Not everything needs to be accessible for everyone. There also isn't a single game that can stop people from cheating 100%. I also recommend that you spend some time with punctuation. A single sentence shouldn't be 14 separate lines before it ends. All of your sentence of a paragraph are just your own personal wants that until the game is out fully, there's no way to know how they are going to do the story. Asking them to change this much within a few months is a pointless ask because it won't happen. You've basically asked them to completely redo and remake the whole game just for what you want.
