Not 100% Sure if this is the right spot to ask this, or if there is a way to resolve this WITHOUT turning on cross save.
I have have been playing D2 on Xbox and PS5 (different set of guardians on each, basically since launch)
When I bought my PC, I wanted to get back into the game, and slowly learn MnK while playing a game I know inside and out. has been fun I've got a lot done since making the change to PC.
Now, outside of fireteam finder, I am not able to receive in game invites because my Steam in game name for some reason is different from what it shows me linked as on Bungie.net (Perky v3#5083)
Screen name and bungie name on both Xbox and PS5 are the same. (Perky#4359)
PC is linked to the same bungie account, but my screen name for invites on PC apparently does not exist because it is not the same as my Bungie id somehow, while being linked. I would share screenshots if I could but yea. It shows on bungie that my steam and my characters are linked to the same bungie name. but its different when in game on PC?
I was just wondering is there was any fix, or something that I could do to fix this issue. I mean I can play, I have access to all my shared account bound emblems and stuff. I just can not get in game invites from people because my PC screen name does not exist?. all my privacy settings are open.

Hi there, Thanks for reaching out! As mentioned by U initiate Now, it's likely that you're using a different Steam account than expected. Please review our Cross Save Guide for more information on setting up Cross Save and how progress transfers between platforms.

Edited by viiTactiiCZz: 4/18/2025 4:02:18 PMSteam, unfortunately, allows players to link accounts via multiple methods because they allow multiple accounts under one email. One way links the parent Steam account to the Bungie.net profile The other way links the individual Steam sub account to the Bungie.net profile As you have 2 different Bungie.net names - what you've likely done is use the 2 different methods and accidentally linked either an existing or newly created new Steam sub-account to your Bungie profile. Contact Valve to verify how many accounts exist under your email/login.

Bungie names and platform names are separate. They do not affect each other. You probably created two steam accounts with the same email and very similar names. God I hate that steam allows that
