Autos are actually fairly balanced and seem to be what bungie balances the game around. - Support Autos are a little hot rn Scouts are also in a fairly good spot but they suffer greatly from the worst Major scaling in the game. They’re excellent against red-bars and bad against everything else. - Aggressive scouts need their reload speed increased across the board. Pulses are all very good except High Impacts. BUT rapid fires are technically the best. They have the highest payout but are the least consistent. That’s a trade off. Hand Cannons are all actually balanced right now. 180’s are actually one of the strongest archetypes in the game right now. SMGs across the board are bad. Their ease of use doesn’t make up for their very poor damage and range. Sidearms are generally good but congrats you found the 1 negative outlier. Bungie should really look at buffing their PvE damage fall-off. Bows are in a good spot outside of some accuracy issues at range that came with last year’s PvP bow changes. Shotguns… you picked the 2 best PvE archetypes… Aggressives have by far the best damage profile and slugs give good payout if you hit your crits. - Slugs not being good for DPS is more of a heavy weapon power creep issue than a slug shotgun issue. - Lightweight shotguns are by far the worst shotgun. - Double Fire either need a DPS boost or innately reload 2 shells at a time. Wave and Lightweight GLs do need some buffs. Wave frames got hit hard just before we got the even stronger Area Denial. - Buff Wave GL base wave length. Lightweight GLs are mainly utility right now and with how strong we are, utility isn’t as important. - Buff their damage slightly and then give us some more add clear variants like Salvager’s Salvo. Fusions. High Impacts are quite good. Precisions are just bad. All fusions need reserve ammo increases. Traces across the board need either slightly better minor and major (not boss) DPS OR another 150-200 ammo. They’re too close to primaries. Swords… wtf is this list. - Casters are the best DPS sword archetype. - Adaptives need their damage tweaked slightly but that’s not going to happen without a Bequest Nerf. - Lightweight and Aggressive are mid-tier with amazing total damage figures. - Vortex frames have abysmal DPS and ammo economy. - Wave Swords are bad for DPS bc if 2+ people use them the game starts deleting their heavy attacks. Heavy GLs - Precisions… NO. Just rework the Timed Detonation perk. Linears are bad without particle. Precisions need something to differentiate themselves from Aggressives (which are better in 99% of scenarios). High Impact LMGs are excellent. Amazing total damage, can 1 shot red bars even in legend content. The extra range goes really far in higher end content.
