I hate to tell you but kills still give points in control, not to mention it helps you hold zones if the enemy team is always dead.

From what I'm seeing it's not the top of your team that's the problem, as much as it's an objective mode, going positive (getting kills without feeding) is still the best way to get points. You should be complaining about the guys going 4 kills to 17 deaths, I don't care how many zones you cap, you don't win with those kinds of ratios, and you definitely don't hold zones.
