This must have been during the halo days. Because this forum has never been particularly active during destiny

Edited by CORPERATE COMMANDER: 4/14/2025 10:45:02 AMThis is what happens when you design the majority of actual content worth doing in the game round the top% and think that relying on streamers/sherpas doing carrys or tutorials would keep the game healthy in the long run Only thing d2 has going for it still is the diversity in builds, pretty decent story and cool/funny ways to make your character look

true, but most of forum users finally get that bungie doesn't care about bottom 10000000000% cry baby

Across the internet, we still probably have just as many people if not more talking about the game. It's just a bit less unified. We're in a very interconnected age, where there are online communities everywhere And this one has kind of made itself known as an unwelcoming place. The move away from unified forums combined with the growing toxicity of the bungie forums specifically have made this place what it is.

This is why all their eggs are really in the marathon basket they don’t have the resources or will to save this game. Not that I think an extraction shooter is their salvation. I figure it will have a shorter shelf life than gambit did but only time will tell.
-
You’re right, seems like the forums died immediately after the Marathon reveal lol I’m actually interested in Marathon but I’m worried a niche genre of shooter with a paywall won’t be able to survive.

Everything changed when the Fire Nation attack- I mean, when Bungie began focusing more on microtransactions and under delivering.
-
Once upon a time this game was Bungie’s focus, they saw it as the future of the company and poured a lot of time and effort into it. Then the product declined as they stopped caring and diverted the majority of their attention elsewhere.

Now it's always once upon a time, in New York City.
