Icebreaker drop
I've been trying to drop the icebreaker for months and there's no way, I have multiple completions with all three characters and despite this the increase in the initial exotic drop rate remains fixed at zero. I searched on Twitter and there are people talking about this bug but in the support forums I haven't found any discussions about it or obviously any solutions. What can I do?

Rng is frustrating as hell, I got ice breaker on my 3rd run first weekend, vex mytho took me 41 runs over 2years, no touch of malice and im approaching 35 runs i think. I cant get anything but a swashbuckler roll on the auto from Vesper, literally every drop has a swashbuckler roll. I cant even get the hand canon from the new dungeon despite farming all f ing day. I i feel for you. Worst part of all I said is by the time i get what im looking for I don’t care anymore

Have you done any solo runs? Worked for me for vesper hosts and Sundered Doctrine

6 RepliesEdited by Salty-47: 4/11/2025 5:19:01 PMIt's not a guaranteed drop. That means that it won't just drop after a set number of completions. Just because you haven't got it to drop doesn't mean there's an issue. It's also not a bug just because you didn't get something.

4 RepliesLooks like you just need to run some more. I checked your dungeon report and I only see 16 clears, not sure how many of those were looted runs or not. To put it into context, I usually average in the mid 30's of looted runs before my RNG finally pays out. I've even had extreme situations, or have friends that have, for instance one of my buddies took 76 looted runs to get an exotic. It's just time investment!

Took me 56 runs to get ice which i got last week so its 100% not bugged, just a rumor spread by Luckyy who is a notoriously unreliable source. Rng sucks too, 73 runs to get eyes of tomorrow, and 32 for conditional, and those are rookie numbers. I hate to say suck it up, but I have NO empathy for people complaining about rng anymore. I still believe the old game code that boosts your exotic chances for resting a character for 2 weeks works. The longest it took me to get a raid/dungeon exotic drop was collective obligation with 21 runs and I got a second the following week on another “rested” character. Shortest drop was vex and icebreaker on 2nd run with rested character. Average is 10 runs. Main warlock for seasonal stuff. Run hunter and titan through story to unlock and then rest them. Once I get the drop I use them more often. Might just be RNG but never had to wait into the 30-60 run range.

It took me 6 runs, I had good luck but bad in other pursuits , took me 26 to get Vex -
Only thing I noticed on that one is i only completed it 3 times and highest dps on boss got it 2 of the 3 times, no drop 1st time, maybe coincidence maybe not, definitely not true any place else

Look up the triumphs for Vesper, and knock off the ones that increase drop rates. Easiest ones are to get all collectibles and complete on master difficulty. The drop rate doesn't bump for all the triumphs, just specific ones like flawless and solo. It tells you which ones will help.

The average in my experience is ~24 runs. Keep at it.

I have it. It’s awesome! 🤣😂🤣 Keep grinding my guy I had many many runs of salvations edge until Euphony finally dropped. It really isn’t even that good. I cant be mad I got The last three Dungeon weapons on day 1.
