Final fix for Destiny 2 pc constant weasel errors on Windows.
This is a proper fix to all weasel error codes that may be caused by your connection on PC versions.
First, go to router settings by entering your IP in your browser. Navigate to advanced settings. Make sure UPnP is enabled, then enable all your TCP and UDP ports in your router settings, then go to your firewall settings and set your inbound and outbound rules. There’s multiple tutorials on YouTube as well as resources from bungie to get this step completed.
When finished type in regedit on the home search bar. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters. Towards the bottom you’ll see IPEnableRouter. Right click it, modify, set the Value data as 1, click ok. Restart computer. Open cmd as admin. Type in “ipconfig /all” no quotes. Check under the first section titled Windows IP Configuration. Make sure IP routing is enabled. If yes then you’re good to go. If not then start troubleshooting that issue.
For whatever reason this may get turned off if you’ve ever done a fresh restart on your pc or inadvertently changed it during network refinement. D2 has a less than desirable network structure that needs this setting enabled especially if you’re using a private router or have an ISP that refuses to update their networking systems. Hope this has helped anyone with this frustrating issue. Happy gaming.
