Cross Save Prompt Removes Cross Save In-Game [BIG BUG]
As others have mentioned, I have the Cross Save prompt being displayed when I try to sign into Destiny 2, shown here:

I already have Cross Save enabled and set up for 4 platforms shown here:

@BNGHelp8 is telling people that it's OK for them to just press and hold the "Accept" button from this prompt and it should not cause an issue. However, everyone who does this no longer has the Cross Save icon showing on the character select screen, shown as the symbol before the username in this screenshot (not mine):

This is clearly a bug, where the game no longer sees a user's cross save, but Bungie.net does. Other users have reported that when they do this on the platform that they have not set up as the "main" platform for Cross Play, they no longer have access to their main account.
As shown here, I have 2 accounts, one is my main account on Steam, the other is an old account from PlayStation from 5 years ago:

Users are reporting online that if I were to sign into my PlayStation and click the "Accept" button, I would no longer have access to my Steam account on my PlayStation and the Cross Save symbol would disappear.
I have not personally done this yet as I don't want to mess things up and lose my Cross Save or all my progress on my main Steam account.
Bungie needs to investigate this issue further and confirm for the community what we should do to avoid losing any progress.

1 ReplyHere's what my experience has been: When I logged in this week I was prompted to accept cross save like you were in your first image. I held the key and accepted. My cross save was set up way back when it was first unveiled, with my Steam platform characters set to the active. I have my PSN and Xbox accounts linked as well. I sometimes play on my Xbox account on PC when my son is using my Steam library. Anyway, when I accepted I was able to log in with all my character data being present. Based on what you've posted above, I can also see that my Cross Save icon doesn't appear in the character selection screen while loading the game from Steam. I exited out of Steam Destiny 2 and loaded up the Xbox PC version of Destiny 2. Once loaded, I could see all my characters and data, and the Cross Save icon was present in the character selection screen. I then returned back to Steam Destiny 2 and again see that the Cross Save icon is missing. From what I'm seeing, yes the Cross Save icon is missing if you are playing on your primary platform, but it seems to be a visual issue. I have also played with players on other platforms so it does not appear to affect Cross Play. Now I'm not sure if my situation mirrors yours exactly. I do play on the same platform primarily as my active characters in the Cross Save setup (Steam D2 client to Steam characters). My son's account has the primary set to his PSN characters. When we logged into that account this week from Steam (Steam D2 client to PSN characters), the Cross Save screen didn't display and we haven't seen any issues.
