As the title says Glaive doesnt feel good to use in pvp. I know that there was some kinda rework/buff to glaives and something with how the projectile moved but it feels worse to use when im trying to fight people up close. I swear ive seen my shot hit someone and it just disappears with no damage done to the other player. Glaives felt great a few months ago. Is there any way to bring that version of the projectile back?

They couldn't reasonably balance them, so they decided they were going to be bad in pvp. They tried anyway. Glaives were really strong for a couple of weeks, then they rolled it back. To my current knowledge, internally, glaives are intended to be a sub-par pvp option. Tbf glaives last I heard are pretty mid in pve too because for some reason, they can't balance melee options in general.

You ever hear the expression, "That's like bringing a knife to a gunfight."?

I've stopped using them in pvp, the shots mostly whif when someone is sliding in, the shields are totally meh and you lose your powered melee when equipped ... just too much downside.

I noticed the same thing. My shots will just plainly whiff / have no hitreg and I end up having to try and melee 3 times instead of shot + melee. Usually does not go well. Same when I try to follow up on my bow swap - I would have been better off to just redraw the bow at this point. Hitting the odd 30m shot is just not worth having no consistency within the usual engagement range of under 20m. Idk if it's part of the overall issue but it feels like they added AE and jumping makes it even worse and also bloom (?)... even when the 1st shot hits and the target doesn't move the 2nd shot just goes to Narnia. Was never an issue before. Hopefully they'll walk the recent changes back soon. Glaives are nearly unusable in pvp now and I have more success hipfiring a slug shotgun. Just shows how bad the hitreg on glaives currently is.

Edited by TBONE: 3/10/2025 7:01:59 PMFor me I have enjoyed the change. I feel it the far range shots are much more consistent. Not that I run them often but for fun every so often.
