The 3 Heresies

So very simple post. We want to know what the act of Heresy was in this Episode (Thus its title). At first, people thought the Heresy was going to be the resurrection of Oryx, similar to how Savathune rejected the sword logic, but as it turns out, Oryx is the only character within the story who has yet to commit and act of Heresy. 1. The First Heresy This was committed all the way back in the Taken King, and was performed by Eris and Ourselves (Rhe Knife). This first Heresy was twofold. Eris used the Sword Logic to enact revenge which in it of itself is contradictory to that of the Sword Logic. This though, was a less act of Heresy compared to what happens later, and has continued to happen since. The active rejection of Oryx’s throne. This single decision goes against Oryx’s own notions and rules, and much like Savathune, rejects the Sword Logic. We create the Touch of Malice, and we deny its usage, becoming the Hives Bane as opposed to the next Taken King (Queen). This act has continued even all the way through Season of the Witch where Eris becomes a contradiction, as the Hive God of Vengeance, and continued to reject Oryx’s mantle, despite Xivus excitement. 2. The Second Heresy. This happened right after the events of the Taken King. When Xivu Arath had learned of her brother’s passing, like the spoiled brat she is, she went on the War Path against us. This eventually led to her subservience to the Witness who Oryx chides this episode but that’s beside the point. The Sword Logic rejects Vengeance. To have sentiment for those who have died is to pity the weak, and the weak deserve no pity because the weak deserve to Die. Oryx was weak by his own Logics standard, and so, Xivu Arath having sentiment and wanting vengeance is an active denial of her own logic. 3. The Final Heresy. Savathune becoming a Lightbearer. This is rather simple. Unlike the Guardian and Eris denying the Throne of Oryx, as outside forces, she denies the Logic that defines her entire being. Sure, being the Hives God of Trickery requires her to be cunning and a trickster, but she also needs tithes through the death of those who wage war against her. As such, by rejecting this Logic, and rejecting the Deep, turning to the Light, was against her very origin. A heresy so grand, that she cannot return from it. She can never go back to the deep. That being said, we can Appreciate the fact that despite being a liar, she is not a Hypocrite.
