Destiny PVP should be its own game.
All exotics and armor ported over from your account, but it’s COMPLETELY separate. This would reduce the cries for nerfs that end up ruining guns and armor and abilities in PVE.
This would also allow for SEVERAL game modes, always available. Trials, Iron Banner and every mode, always active, the return of Trials of the Nine, and new game modes.
PvP seals and weapons will be ported over to the main game.
Just a thought.

We have Marathon at home!

Thanks for posing your idea at the beginning so I didn’t have to read the rest.

Whenever I explain to people what Destiny is, I say it's like Call of Duty except your character is the same for missions and PVP. That's the main reason Destiny has lasted so long. Instead of releasing a new one every 2 years, they just make updates and DLCs. I think keeping them together was probably the smartest decision Bungie made. Also to whoever Marathon is separate Destiny PVP, no its not. At all.

Not interested.

Or they could just tune things separately like they have shown is possible several times. For example the upcoming nerf to sword logic’s damage but only in pvp

At this point in Destiny's life, I doubt it would be worth the time and resources to do such a thing. Maybe if it had been done at the beginning................
