One thing D2 has never tried is restricted gun type games.
I am thinking like shotty snipes in earlier Halo.
I think it would be interesting if there was a mode that rotated each week that allowed for only one primary and secondary type weapon like scout rifles and shotguns only for example. Maybe no heavy ammo but it would at least be very limited at best.
I would reduce supers and abilities besides maybe one ability that is also part of the week featured rotator. Something like class abilities are 1/2 speed but grenades are double.
The rewards would be a featured weapon for both of the specific primary and secondary gun types that could be perk focused at shax based on either kills or wins that week in the playlist.
Adding earnable emblems based on kills for the specific gun type would also be very cool, even better emblem tiers for weapon mastery. Say like 250, 500, 1000.
Long shot pipe dream, but I think it would be an interesting game type.

I like this idea. I often think of things like this and also think it would keep the player base entertained. I'm not going to make a separate post for this idea but, while we're on the subject, I wonder what the community would think about game modes (PvE and PvP) where we can equip as many exotics as we like. Imagine the build potential. Assuming Bungie could keep it balanced somehow (not holding my breath), does this sound like something the community would enjoy?
