I’ve heard strong arguments both ways.
I believe, if Rhulk truly used all of his strength, he would have been stronger than Nezarec. Think about it. During our fight with him, he didn't seem to take it seriously. He's arrogance got him killed. Yes, Nezarec is strong but has died...a lot and not only by us. What makes him different, is he's ability to use fear and pain to resurrect himself. Rhulk seen us as the lesser and "toyed" with us during the Raid. It was only during he's "final stand" that he realized, I may die here. A full focused Rhulk would have ripped us apart, before the fight got to that point. My opinion, of course

Tbh think Rhulk actually died after the raid itself. Pretty sure the dude tried to posses a Hidden who had to blow up his sparrow to prevent the big Rhulkify. Not sure 100% because the lore changes every season

I just hope we get more disciples that have their own goals now that the Witness is gone. I want the new faction (Dread) to get expanded on.

Edited by UnspokenONI: 3/14/2025 12:54:41 PMNezarec I believe that nez transcend death so he can't die since pain and fear will never cease to exist also I don't believe Nezarec is dead (via revenant end cutscene) nor if it's even possible to kill him. Rhulk big dead or is he..... he is

Edited by jr_0081: 3/13/2025 1:44:09 PMI’ll say nezarec, because We can’t permanently kill him, you can’t kill pain, you can’t kill fear, and you can never destroy an idea so he’s basically immortal and rhulk as far as I know is dead but who knows after all he didn’t take us seriously until final stand so maybe he can come back

With Football definitely Nezarec With Futbol definitely Rhulk

The problem with this argument is, people base it on raid difficulty Crota killed more guardians than any enemy we faced, but because his raid was a meme, he is considered an afterthought, when in reality Crotas End was designed from complaints that Vault Of Glass was too complicated(standing on a plate and killing enemies) Bungie designs raid based on community sentiment at the time, not lore In reality, Nazeric transcends death, he lives on has long has hatred does, meanwhile , Rhulk couldn't beat Savathun , and is permanently dead

Let’s put it this way. In a 1v1 situation, Rhulk is beating Nezarec. There’s absolutely no question about that. However, a fully functional Nezarec is capable of inflicting terror on a far larger scale than Rhulk. He was able to reach out to pre-golden age Earth and inspire a cult in his name that persisted long after the Collapse.

Nezarec was strong before the witness while Rhulk didn't gain his power till the witness made him strong. Not to mention the Nezarec we fought was in a weakened state and not at full power. Based on lore, I'd say it stands to reason that the witness made him a disciple purely because he could rival the witness if he was more motivated.

Nezerac even in his weaker form he had power it's very much possible he can still return in some form. Rhulk while yes still has power in death his influence is by far less
