I was enraptured by destiny 1 its setting and time was bleak and Grimdark, it felt like a dystopian yet somewhat advanced words with humanity being a shell of its former self. People hated grimoire cards but I love piecing together a story from them and they told a Grimdark tale of survival loss and eldrich threats lurking in the dark. Now? My god just look at nimbus and lightfall lol everyone had marvel level writing and depth, most lore now is wishy washy, and even alien gods talk like humans with human emotions. Like even nezarec FINAL GOD OF PAIN is just a yapping bloke just like rhulk, they are built up into these demonic inhuman beings yet all talk and act like humans Imo these some of the new writers just lack the ability to write dark, complex, and love craftian beings so they just get lazy such a shame
