Unable to add friends in-game & Friend Request Failed on website
Hi all,
Whenever I add or receive a friend request on Destiny 2, hitting accept does nothing no matter how many times I click it. The only way to remove the notification is to click deny which deletes the request and my list doesn't get updated.
On the Bungie website, if I click accept on the friend request, I get a "Friend Request Failed" pop-up. I'm effectively locked out of adding any new friends and I don't know what to do to rectify.
Hello there,
Thank you for reaching out.
We understand you are unable to accept a friend request. Having reviewed the steps you've taken, as well as your description of the issue, this does sound strange. If you haven't already done so, you may wish to verify whether your account's privacy settings allow for you to accept friend requests from others.
In addition to the above, you may wish to check whether your friends list is already full.
If there's nothing amiss with your privacy settings when it comes to friend requests, but your friend plays the game on a different platform than yourself, then please ensure Cross Play is activated on your account.
