Need helping unlinking an old account for cross save
Hi, so like 5 years ago I tried to get destiny working on my old laptop which ended up not working. I activated cross save and linked my old steam account to it but never ended up playing the game. Five years later I have a gaming pc set up and wanted to cross save my chracters from my ps5, however that old account is still linked. I cant unlink the account without turning off cross play and and I cant turn off cross play because im 99% that old account doesnt even exist anymore.
I was wondering if there was any way to contact bungie for them to manually remove it so I dont have to wait 90 days or have to download epic games just to get stuff working

To be able to remove any account from your Cross Save setup, you must be able to authenticate it. If you cannot, then unfortunately the account in question will remain linked to Cross Save. Further, as Bungie entrusts players with the security and management regarding linking their accounts, we do not unlink any accounts on players' behalf. Thus, you would need to reach out to the support team for the related platform (in this case Steam) for assistance with the account in question. However, if the account has been deleted as you believe to be the case, it is unfortunately unlikely that they will be able to assist you.
