Hundreds of unique buff and perk names are great for loot, build discussion... but miserable in the HUD
Before TFS, we had one area full of immediate, critical text information. It did not show everything.
Post TFS, we now have [b]three[/b] areas full of critical text information. They do not show everything.
I may be alone in this, but I really feel onscreen buffs and perks need some useability QOL, or at least some sort of preference agency over how they're displayed. I'd much rather see (existing?) icons displayed instead of lines of proper nouns onscreen at all times. Examples, simple icons for: Exotic Armor Perk fired/active -- Weapon damage perk active -- Bonus ability regen fired/active, etc.
I'd imagine it'd be more intuitive for new players, and would benefit me a lot as an experienced player that uses highly varied loadouts. Could be more fun too, seeing energy chunks returned at a glance, instead of watching gray line sweeps in a small gray-ed out box. Offloading some of that info directly onto the reticle would be great too.
